A 2015 Marbayo Productions prototype that organized original athlete caricatures, national-team identities and tournament participation into one complete editorial system.
INDEPENDENT · 2015THE EDITORIAL IDEA
Marbayo Productions approached the tournament as more than a sequence of matches. The studio designed a collectible journey in which every national team, player portrait, results table and special feature belonged to the same visual universe.
The prototype established the first complete editorial architecture for this line of products: a cover identity, tournament schedule, team-by-team spreads, numbered collectible spaces, collection tracking and a final participatory feature.

THE COLLECTION SYSTEM
Each team spread adapts color, symbols, technical information and character selection while preserving a repeatable structure that helps the audience understand and complete the collection.

NATIONAL-TEAM EDITORIAL TEMPLATE
A SYSTEM WITH RANGE
Changes in palette and national references give each spread its own energy. Consistent placement, typography and information hierarchy keep the complete album easy to navigate.

PRODUCT ARCHITECTURE

Groups, dates and match information provide the narrative spine for the complete collecting experience.

Twelve national-team spreads coordinate players, technical staff, crests and team imagery within one modular system.

The ideal-team feature invites collectors to make personal choices and continue engaging after completing the album.
BEYOND COLLECTION
Tracking pages connect collecting with the unfolding tournament, while the ideal-team page gives the audience a personal space to curate favorite characters.

Intellectual property, credits and project disclosure. The 2015 album was conceived and developed as an independent Marbayo Productions prototype under the creative direction of Martin Bayona Pineda, who created approximately 85% of the original character illustrations and led the product’s visual and editorial development. Selected character illustrations representing approximately 15% of the library were contributed by Martin Bayona and Mariela Pineda. The prototype was not commissioned, licensed, authorized, endorsed or affiliated with the tournament, athletes, teams, clubs, federations or governing organizations represented. Only evaluation mockups were produced; the album was not commercially released or distributed.
